To ensure that fans have sufficient reserves for surfing and transmitting videos and images even during top matches in the Bundesliga, Deutsche Telekom's entire mobile communications network in the Commerzbank Arena has been modernised.
FMBE, as an experienced company specialising in object coverage, was commissioned with the expansion of the existing in-house mobile coverage and the modernisation to LTE 2600 advanced (Lot2).
The challenge of this project was the extremely short construction period of 7 weeks, numerous interruptions or restrictions of the work due to events in the rented lounges and the parallel structural renovation of parts of the stadium.
Thanks to close, goal-oriented cooperation with the technical department of the stadium management, professional project management by FMBE and the well-coordinated team of experienced service technicians, the demanding project schedule was nevertheless met and the network was successfully handed over to the bandwidth-hungry fans at the start of the Bundesliga season in Frankfurt.
