FAQ - Our answers to your questions!

  • The duration of training is 3.5 years with the possibility of shortening.
  • In-company training takes place at the Groß-Gerau site with its own training workshop.
  • Block teaching takes place at the vocational schools in Groß-Gerau.
  • The prerequisite for training with us is at least a Realschulabschluss or Fachhochschulreife.
  • We currently have a 100% takeover rate after training!

Although our apprentices learn all the skills of a "classic" electronics technician, their everyday work goes beyond that. There is no such thing as tapping slots with us! Instead, you lay communication cables, install plugs and distributors or carry out high-frequency measurements.

Our trainees get around a lot - typical locations include the tarmac of an airport, a football stadium, a skyscraper roof with a view over the city or the top of an antenna mast!

Read here what our apprentices Jan and Damir tell us about their everyday working life.

We asked our apprentices for you when our training would suit you:

It is important that you are good with your hands, have an interest in technology and telecommunications, enjoy getting around Germany and are a team player. You should also be free from giddiness - because from time to time you will find yourself on an antenna mast!

You are not sure? Take the self-test here.

You can apply easily via our application portal under "Apply now". In a short cover letter, tell us why you would like to do an apprenticeship with us and what makes you so special, and also upload your CV and your last school report. Our colleague Nadja will contact you as soon as possible!

If you fit in, you will have an interview with our trainer Edgar and our team leader Frank. If possible, you will then complete a short trial internship and you will be part of our team!

For all general questions about training and applications, you can always contact Nadja from our HR department (see above for contact details).

But if you'd rather hear first-hand experiences, feel free to write to our new journeyman Jan. He has just successfully completed his apprenticeship with us and is looking forward to sharing his experiences with you! Just write him an email at "jan.heeren@fmb-e.de".
